The charity we are championing this year at Staffs Fest is the cancer support group Terrible Titties & other Bitties. They will have a stand at the festival raising funds for the fantastic work that they do
Here’s how it all started;
The Making of TTOBs
Natasha and I (Rachael Jordan) first met at the ‘Look Good Feel Good’ workshop at County Hospital, Stafford. I had just finished chemotherapy and Natasha was on her 2nd round. Following this workshop, we kept in touch and were texting daily.
After meeting up in Costa a couple of weeks later (she still owes me for that coffee by the way!) it was clear to me that she was an amazing lady and I knew we were going to be ‘Breast Friends’
During treatment you get to know other ladies on the same journey. It became apparent to us that post active treatment there was a need for emotional and pastoral support. With this in mind we asked a couple of ladies who we had got to know, if they would like to get together and go for a meal.
What a success that was! Before we knew it, we were forming into a group, supporting each other in any way we could.
We had lots of laughter as well as tears and the occasional Gin! That’s when we called ourselves Shitty Tittys!
As time passed and our wonderful group grew, we decided to change our name to Terrible Titties & Other Bitties (TTOBs) as we wanted to raise our profile and go public to help other ladies and their families through the rollercoaster ride that is “Cancer”
Fast forward to January 2019 where we formed a committee and started fundraising so that we could offer our members counselling and holistic therapies.
We now have a Meet & Greet at Stafford Rugby Club the 1st Wednesday of the month 7-9pm where we invite guest speakers, network and …..
TTOBs offer all our members counselling, a buddy network, emotional support and much much more.
