5 reasons we love music festivals

There is nothing better than a music festival, especially one hosted right in the heart of Staffordshire.

We have compiled a list of the top 5 things we love about music festivals.

1. Festival Fashion

Nowhere on the planet is it acceptable to be dressed how you are at a music festival but somehow in the height of the summer you will casually walk through a field in bright pink wellies, denim shorts, a flowery top and donning the biggest straw hat money could buy, whilst clutching a box of supermarket wine. (and that’s just the blokes)

Yes even the experts in Milan and Paris struggle to understand the fashion choices at a British music festival, but we love it and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

2. Acting crazy is normal

Ahhh the freedom of a festival, acting like a loon is part of the terms and conditions of entry to a festival. This could be dancing like a 5 year old girl at a wedding at front and centre of the festival stage or sliding through the mud after a few pink gins. Festivals are a great escape from reality and one of the best ways to unwind and relax without being judged.

3. Meeting new friends

The friends you make at a music festival are for life. You may only meet these people once a year and your social media chats with them for the next 11 months are only dominated by what you will get up to at the festival the following year but they are some of the best friends you know

4. Festival Food

Festivals are all about trying something new and festival food is one we love the most. It could be an ostrich burger, a Caribbean delight, or maybe just a new flavour of ice cream, festival food is just the best . Anybody for Jaffa Cake ice cream?

5. Discovering new music

Often we are pulled to a music festival to see that one headline act we have wanted to see for a long time but most of the time you come away from a festival after hearing a new band and they are your new favourite thing ever! You will tell everybody at the office how you discovered this great act at a festival and they should listen to their stuff on YouTube, or they can borrow your CD which you purchased off them when they got off stage (and got it signed duh!)

Overall music festivals are just the best experience ever and they are what you make of it. Staffs Fest aims to cater for everybody’s tastes and we are the festival the whole family can enjoy!
